A detailed guide to awakening the Alpha Pokémon
Finding Arceus is the ultimate challenge, requiring the completion of many tasks. This guide will walk you through the most efficient way to meet all the requirements.
1. Get the Poké Flute & Access the Legendary Cave
Your first step is to obtain the key item to access the area where most legendary events occur.
- Defeat Leaf: Challenge and defeat Leaf, who can be found on Route 110. She will reward you with the Poké Flute.

- Wake up Snorlax: If you haven’t already, go to the entrance of the Altering Cave on Route 103 and use the Poké Flute to wake up and defeat the Snorlax blocking the way.

2. Verify Your Progress
Before proceeding, make sure you have met two crucial completion milestones.
- All Legendaries: Open the DexNav and press the R button to cycle through the pages until you reach the legendary list. All slots must be filled except for Arceus’s.

- Complete Pokédex: Check your Pokédex. You must have 1024 Pokémon captured (every Pokémon except Arceus).

3. Assemble the Legendary Team
You need a very specific team of six Pokémon.
- Origin Dialga: Go to the Jagged Pass and defeat Rei to obtain the Adamant Crystal.

- Origin Palkia: Go to Route 134 and defeat Akari to obtain the Lustrous Globe.

- Origin Giratina: Go to the Cave of Origin and defeat Cyrus to obtain the Griseous Core.

- Mythical Pokémon: For the remaining three slots, any Mythical Pokémon will work. Mew, Celebi, and Jirachi are good examples.

4. The Fastest Way to Level Up to 100
To get your team to Level 100 quickly, use this strategy:
- Settings:
- Activate the x8 EXP multiplier option.
- Activate the Double Battles option.
- Ensure EXP Share is turned on.
- Deactivate Dynamax/Tera options.

- Preparation:
- Equip a Lucky Egg to the Pokémon you are training.
- Have at least one Level 100 Pokémon in your party to trigger high-level rematches.
- Bring a Pokémon with a strong physical Fighting-type move.

- Battle: Challenge the trainer with a Blissey in the Normal-type Gym for a rematch. This provides a massive amount of EXP.

5. Phase 1: Summon the Alpha Pokémon
Change your playable character to one of the Sinnoh or Hisui protagonists: Lucas, Dawn, Rei, or Akari. With your team of six Level 100 Pokémon ready, go to the summit of Mt. Pyre and play the Poké Flute.

6. Phase 2: The Final Trial with Bidoof
- Catch a Bidoof: Go to Route 101 and capture a wild Bidoof.

- Train Bidoof: Use the same Level 100 grinding strategy to train your Bidoof.
- The Final Confrontation:
- Activate the “Play as Pokémon” option in the settings.
- Ensure your party contains only the Level 100 Bidoof.
- Head to the Altering Cave on Route 103 to face the God of Pokémon.

- To defeat Arceus, make sure your Bidoof has the Unaware ability and a Fighting-type move (e.g., Superpower). In battle, use Dynamax on your Bidoof (remember to enable it first!) and use the move Max Knuckle.

- Once you defeat Arceus, you’ll have to wait for it to appear as a wild Pokémon inside the cave (the DexNav won’t work for it yet). When it spawns, battle and capture it. After the first capture, you will be able to use the DexNav in the Altering Cave to find it repeatedly!

From now on, when you press the R button on the overworld, a special Munchlax will appear with a guaranteed held item: Leftovers!
-
Steal the Leftovers. Use the Munchlax you caught to battle the wild Munchlax you found with the DexNav. In battle, use the move Covet to steal its Leftovers. The stolen item will go directly into your bag!

Accessing a Secret Area in the Battle Frontier
Artisan Cave is a hidden location in the Battle Frontier, required to find some legendary Pokémon. This guide will show you how to access it.
1. Get the Wailmer Pail
First, you need the Wailmer Pail. Go to the Flower Shop on Route 104 and speak with the girl inside to receive it.

2. Clear the path by battling Sudowoodo
Next, travel to the Battle Frontier. Head all the way to the right until you find a suspicious tree blocking the path. Use the Wailmer Pail on it to reveal it’s a Sudowoodo and battle it.

3. Surf to the cave entrance
Once Sudowoodo is gone, you can use Surf on the water. Navigate to the left, going around the waterfall, and you will find the entrance to Artisan Cave.
